1. Google Adsense - Google Adsense is the #1
advertising
program on the web. Website owners in this program can earn
money by displaying text and image ads served by Google.
Additionally, Adsense allows for the implementation of site
+ web search boxes by Google, which can also generate
revenue.
Adsense is a cost-per-click model, so you earn money on
every click, unlike other programs which require an
"action", lead or purchase. Additionally, what makes it
unique is that the advertisements displayed are relevant to
your website's content. It is also very easy to use and
"hassle-free" and can even be used in many blogs. One set of
code can be easily implemented into as many web pages as you
want and content specific ads are generated on each of those
pages.
2. Commission Junction - Commonly referred to as
"CJ"; Commission Junction provides a large network of
advertisers and a lucrative revenue stream for your website
or email marketing campaign. CJ works on a CPA or cost per
action / purchase / lead model. So you display ads (mostly
banner ads) of advertisers that accept you into their
affiliate program. It can be very lucrative in that many of
the advertisers will pay large commissions for leads or
purchases of their items. A few examples: a major credit
card company paying $200 for one of your visitors signing up
for their credit card. A dating company paying $20 for a new
sign up. CJ is very reliable with its advertising base and
payouts.
Some drawbacks of CJ: Many of their advertisers
require applying for their programs. If your website is not
approved by the advertiser, you cannot display ads for that
advertiser. What makes it somewhat tedious is you have to
generate lots of code for each link/ad you want to create.
Also, the majority of the programs require a purchase to
receive any credit. So you could end up sending a lot of
traffic to an advertiser and receive nothing if a purchase
or lead is not made. CJ Website:
